EpiMundi is a private, independent epidemiology consulting company based in Lyon, France. We provide a broad range of epidemiological services to private, public and international clients around the world.
Previously known as Ausvet Europe, we changed our name in late 2024 to EpiMundi, a name which more accurately reflects our global reach and our specialist skills in epidemiology.
The company was established in France in 2019 and is led by Ausvet’s earliest partner, Dr Angus Cameron, a respected epidemiologist with over 30 years of experience working in over 50 countries.
EpiMundi is a multi-skilled team using epidemiology and evidence to solve complex health problems in the real world. We are specialised and responsive and commited to play an active role in global solutions.
In response to the growing challenges facing the planet, we are driven to make a significant positive impact on the health and welfare of animals and humans throughout the world by providing pragmatic, people-centred and evidence-based expertise in epidemiology.
We will play an important role in ensuring improved health and welfare for animals and humans on the planet.
We provide global consulting services in epidemiology, disease surveillance, health information management and modelling, risk assessments and in training in the novel epidemiological methods we have helped pioneer.
We are used to variety – so working with a range of species at any one time, or with a range of client types on long and short projects, doesn’t phase us at all. At any one time we are assisting health managers in intensive pork production companies, working with integrated data for salmon and poultry industries, building analytical models for government agencies and providing expert services on large-scale international development projects. We are an efficient and well-organised team with certifications in project management and all the tools necessary to help us meet our goals.
We have been proud to work with a number of industry peak bodies to strengthen their ability to provide transparence, to advocate to government as well as to better understand emerging threats to their members’ production.
We think that there are many more ways we can support these bodies. Improved data standards, strengthening information management for population health and the development of integrated data systems for research and development purposes.

We have supported large producers with integrated production, feed, transport and slaughter systems to strengthen their biosecurity protocols, information management, farm surveillance, and assisted one large North American producer towards compartmentalisation to protect their exports in the event of an outbreak of African Swine Fever.

We have enjoyed innumerable opportunities to provide expert advice, training, workshop facilitation and research support to government agencies around the world.
Our past work with veterinary and public health services in so many countries and contexts brings great richness to our perspectives and understanding.
We have partnered with large agencies to provide data management and analyses for the surveillance of diseases threatening the region as well as providing meaningful dashboards and regular reporting to governments and producers in the region.
We have been proud to work with a number of United Nations and World health bodies such as WHO and WOAH. Angus has participated in the setting of world standards for the World Organisation for Animal Health.
We have an unbroken commitment to contributing at the global level.
We have a strong commitment to contributing to the strengthening of health systems, disease surveillance, and information management and communication in countries where these systems are struggling or under-resourced.
We have worked throughout countries in Southeast Asia and Africa for example, working with veterinary services at all levels to strengthen capacity, develop information systems and improve disease surveillance and management.
